Just like human preschool, puppy preschool is the foundation to all higher learning your puppy can achieve. Puppies are developing their social skills between 8-16 weeks of age, however with their vaccinations keeping them isolated from the world, this makes it difficult to socialise them. Puppies that have not been socialised before 16 weeks are at risk of developing anxiety, aggression, antisocial behaviour and fear of others.

Puppy preschool is a safe environment in which not only do they learn how to interact with other puppies and people, but learn the fundamentals of life long skills. Puppy preschool is not an obedience class, but a step in the right direction for a well mannered, adaptable pup.

Our course consists of 4 classes, once a week for 4 weeks, with the final class ending with a small graduation.

During our classes we teach:

  • How to interact with other puppies and people

  • Environmental enrichment activities

  • Basic commands (Sit, drop and stay)

We also touch base on topics/issues that are happening in the home, such as:

  • Toilet training

  • Nutrition

  • Toilet training

  • Biting

  • Pet insurance

  • Barking

  • Desexing

  • Crying

  • Flea, Tick, heartworm and intestinal worming

  • Crate training

  • Digging
